We have long used games as ways to relax and unwind. This is something that games have been about since ancient times and it is as true for sports as it is for crossword puzzles. Some stress relief games challenge the physical body to help us burn off stressful levels of energy and some challenge the mind to help us put it to use on something other than worrying. The goal of games is to give us a way to use our energy that is not going to place us in danger and the best games to help us burn off stress are going to make sure we can relax either during or after the game is done.
Some people find that high intensity stress relief games are good for them. These will include fast paced and even seemingly ‘violent’ games that are designed to help a person let off steam. Much like the dolls that you squeeze to get rid of stress, these games are about exerting our energies to help us be able to get them out so that we can experience lower levels of pressure inside our bodies and our minds. These high intensity games are often quite popular these days in cultures where life is more sedentary.

I tried ringing him and he ditched me at home to hang out with his friends. I just wanted to spend one day with him on my only day off but he got me really upset. I had depression problems before and now I handle it better but lately my stress level got so high today I got a knife and tried to hurt myself (I didn’t do any damage). I message him saying to find me a new boyfriend who cares and he said, ‘ok’ then I said ”I’m going to kill myself” and he never replied back. He came home and hugged me like nothing happened though I was at home crying. Then I got a knife out and told him to piss off and I tried to cut myself. He told me to drop the knife so I did as long as he doesn’t come near me.
I ran to the bed to cry and he also went there but to sleep. I punched him because I was really upset and angry and he yelled, ‘now you are being immature!!!!’, then slammed the door and went outside to play games. After he finished he just ignored me, watched comedy and went to work. I left and went back to my parents how where I feel more relief.

Ok, so I already asked the question, but here it goes again!
How good is the “NVIDIA® GeForce™ 8400M GS” in the HP Pavilion dv9820ea Entertainment Notebook PC (KW303EA) ?
I am soon to start university and I need a laptop that will carry me through my course. Aside from the work that I will need to do on it, I’d like to use my laptop to play games (since I have to leave my big desktop PC at home).
Now by games I don’t mean amazingly advanced next-gen type things, so far I’m only thinking of Guild Wars 2 and Warhammer online for the new games category.

Stress can be defined as the external forces of the outside world impacting on the individual. Yet stress is also a normal part of life that can help us develop and grow as people. On the other hand, stress can cause us significant problems.
Stress releases potent neurochemicals and hormones these prepare us for action. The common reason for stress is to either fight or flee. If we don’t take action, the stress response can lead to health problems. Prolonged, uninterrupted, unexpected, and unmanageable stresses are the most damaging types of stress.

Coping with excess stress is no fun. Yet life lived to the full is meant to be fulfilling, rewarding and joyful.
The problem with too much stress is that it comes along like the proverbial thief in the night and snatches life’s pleasures. Most people do not take the necessary steps to protect the real assets of life; the pleasurable things that really matter most. Those little foxes of worry soon turn into major anxieties and the monster of super stress raises its immense, ugly head.
Well let’s look at some to deal with this major problem. He is a great idea to help you cope with stress. In fact, this idea is great fun. How about playing games in order to relieve your stress? Does that sound like fun? Well it is!

My fiance and I have been engaged for about a month and a half, together for a year and half. We’ve been living together for about 6 months, and he has primary custody of his 5 1/2 year old son, who is in kindergarten. When we first started dating, he played World of Warcraft CONSTANTLY. He was “raiding” about 4 nights a week, I felt he was neglecting his home and his son (before I moved in, I was still the one who was doing all the cleaning, laundry, etc. and working on school stuff/playing with his son). I talked to him about it, and once his son told him that he didn’t like how much he was playing, he cut back the number of nights he was raiding, which was slightly helpful. I don’t know that he was “addicted” per se, because if we had prior plans or something like that, he wouldn’t get on the game, but he would have to post that he wouldn’t be on, would get a bunch of crap from the other players, etc.
Around Thanksgiving, his computer completely broke, so he was unable to play at all anymore. Things around the house got significantly better….he started spending more time with his son, started helping me more around the house, started doing the grocery shopping with me, etc. Even though he started playing on the Wii a lot more, and then started using MY computer to play CD-ROM games, things seemed to be a little bit better.

I need help with my persuasive essay on how video games dont cause violence/are good for u. I have two points, I just need help with the third.
1. Its a stress relief so instead of taking anger out on people, take it out on a virtual game
2. It improves hand-eye coordination skills
3. ???
Im thinking abt saying how the military uses it but that doesnt rly prove my point and I was also thinking abt saying about how there are rating and parents should be responsible but that doesnt either help me cuz thats saying maybe it does cause violence then.

The best way for boiling down stress is by having a stress relief sport. There are a lot of forms of tension relief games, both outdoor and indoor. For indoor games, one of the popular choices present is computer games, although out-of-door games can be some sport or activity which might give you some workout. Though there’s not a good deal proof that tension relief plots will give relief from tension, it’s really very effective in bringing down tension.
Computer tension relief games are accessible on CDs or net. It’s possible to avail of internet games from both free and pay internet sites. There are a few sites which offer free exhibit editions for you to examine, so that you’ll know if they’re indeed effective in offering tension relief. If you find the games are fascinating sufficient to keep the mind away your problems, you will be able to order them later.

Life, in many ways, is just one big game full of challenges and pressures. Of course, as with any game, there are rules and guidelines that need to be followed to the letter. Naturally, as with any game, there are going to be those players who will need to find a little release every now and then from the pressure and grind. But it is not just the top-caliber athletes who need to unwind. Normal, everyday people also need to find some relief from the struggles of life. Indeed, stress relief is something that everyone has to delve into on a semi-regular basis, if only because it helps maintain our mental health.
