Question by Jam: Stress related illness?
My Grandad had his 5th heart attack on Thursday and he’s very sick, I don’t think he’ll pull through.
I’m very close to him and could not imagine a world without him, he’s been a father to me.
4 days later and I have a variety of symptoms. Dizziness, light headedness, stomach aches, sore throat and varying body temperatures.

Having served all over the world in sometimes hostile action conditions and more recently in the middle east. I can fully relate to the feelings one has when suffering from PTSD.
The worst part about it is that no one other than your colleagues you were there with will understand what it was like, what you are going through, or in your own mind how to help.
I have been researching the effects of the intervention of Reiki regarding PTSD for a few years now. Dependent on the severity of the illness the patient will start to feel better after the first treatment. I found that through self healing firstly for the initial 21 day cleansing process after first being attuned. Then for at least 30 mins a day for the rest of my life concentrating on the emotional side of Reiki healing. My life slowly came back on track, my anger was controlled, I did not feel so helpless in myself. I still sometimes reflect on what has happened in the past but instead of being angry I have put the demons to bed.

Stress related hair loss is quite common in today’s world. So many people do not eat the way they should and have lifestyles that are extremely busy and full of stress. In some cases, this type of loss of hair is only short term, but in some cases if you do not do something about the stress in your life, this can turn into a long term problem.
There are many different things that can lead to hair loss that is stress related. In many cases things like moving, losing a job, dealing with divorce, a long illness, or even death of someone close can lead to this problem. When stressful situations like these ones occur, a particular chemical can put the follicles of the hair in a phase of resting.

Some doc said it’s no big deal. Fact is it’s kindof uneasy, depressing and on a worse extent – torturous.
Not only your chest will be all tight and heavy,
you’ll get sour/ acid taste in throat.
An attack of such will leave me all exhausted and edgy.
Your stomach will be full of gas and your bowel will be all fluid.
Worst feeling comes from the tight, heavy chest coupled with pain within the ribcage and somewhere central of the chest (to the right of the heart), and stucked-feeling in the throat. At times, you’ll just feel like puking.

I think i heard this in a movie once and i didnt know it existed but they said that whenever you get very anxious, you get diarrhea or nausea or some sort of effect on your body and they said the name of that disease. im not sure if its a disease or some kind of illness but whenever i get stressed like before i get my grades in school, i get really bad stomach pain and have to go diarrhea. but otherwise, i feel great

so im 14 and i have a lot of anxiety. if its not one thing its another. i always use to fear that i had some terrible illness and i would always get anxiety attacks. when i went to the doctor i found out i was perfectly fine. then i started worrying about my sanity.i always fear that i am going insane for some reason. so lately, its either when i’m really tired like when i just got up or really bored i hear voices. but its like im not really hearing them,i know im imaging them and i can tell what the difference is but they still pop up into my head.
theyre totally random too like one time an old mans voice from like the dennys commercials said “sam. the poor bastard” and that was it. anyways when im concentrated on something else nothing odd happens to me and im perfectly normal, so i was wondering? is just cause i have lots of anxiety??? stress??? or can it even be related to puberty?? because i just started puberty as well. PLEASE HELP!!! IM KINDA SCARED!!! THANKS

I was diagnosed Bipolar a few months ago after a spell in hospital for depression. I am on medication. However i still get very stressed and very nervous and struggle alot with anxiety. Is this related to my illness or something completely different?

I have recently been on ‘long term sick’ due to work-related stress, as diagnosed by my GP. On my return to work, my employer advised me that I was not entitled to certain ‘reasonable adjustments’ and condsiderations about my working environment. When I challenged this decision I was told that I could not have these benefits because I had suffered from work-related stress, but if it had just been stress (non work related) I would have been entitled to the benefits.
The ‘reasonable adjustment’ that I had requested was a phased return to work.
I feel that my employers decision was unfair as work related stress is no less of an illness than ‘regular’ stress. Is this right?
